The digital age is changing fast, and for many parents the question that matters most is how to prepare a child for a future full of unknowns. Giles Delaney, Academic Asia's Head of Education, works closely with the leadership of top British schools. In this session, he shares how UK schools are thinking in the digital age: what they expect of students in their use of technology, and how they prepare young people for a rapidly changing world. Together, the talk will explore the core capabilities a child should be building now for an uncertain future; whether the advantages of traditional professions still hold, and how parents might understand success and competitiveness today; how much judgement, adaptability and confidence matter in a competitive environment; and, looking ahead, how academic results weigh against deeper skills and character. A live Q&A gives families the chance to put their questions directly to a school-leadership-level speaker and gain first-hand insight.
