Welcome to Abingdon. Ours is an inspirational school with a culture of challenge and enterprise. This forward thinking approach is reflected in our academic curriculum where there is breadth of choice and depth of study. Whilst academic standards are very high, our commitment to students’ wider personal development and wellbeing is central to our approach. Our House system ensures that every student is known and cared for and our formidable Other Half provision ensures that an important part of each day is made up of a vast array of co-curricular pursuits, with students able to choose from over 150 activities. Boarding has been an integral part of Abingdon since our foundation. Today, international students benefit from our newly renovated and extended boarding provision which offers a spacious and contemporary home from home environment, with dedicated study areas, kitchenettes and communal House areas which are enjoyed by both day and boarding students. Our recent ISI inspection found Abingdon to be ‘Excellent’ and we hope you will too. In 2026, we will be welcoming girls to our First Year and Sixth Form; and from 2028 to our Third Year.
