Mayfield offers a rigorous academic curriculum, consistently achieving impressive results in GCSEs and A Levels, preparing students for top universities and the school prides itself on its rich heritage and commitment to holistic development and spiritual growth as well as academic excellence. The school has its own elite equestrian programme with an indoor and outdoor arena on the school campus, with stabling for around 20 horses. Girls can bring their own horse or loan one. There is a showjumping and cross country course and girls can work towards a BTEC in Equestrian studies along side the A Level programme. The school is renowned for its exceptional arts programme, including ceramic, fine arts, drama and music, fostering creativity and talent. The ceramics department is known as one of the best, if not the best, in the UK.
